Use the Search + Find tool on the library homepage.
There are two ways to limit your results to eBooks
Option 1: Press the 'All filters' button on your results page and select 'eBooks Only' and Apply.
'.
Option 2: Press the 'Source Type' button on your results page and select 'eBooks' and Apply.

Click into the Title of the book you are interested in on your results page.
N.B. Use the Zotero icon on this Title overview page to get the metadata, rather than going into the eBook itself.

In the example below, we have clicked into the eBook via the 'Access Options' dropdown and then used Zotero to get the metadata. It has saved as a Snapshot, which will have insufficient metadata attached.

It might happen that an eBook saves as an Item Type in the metadata other than 'Book' in Zotero. This is easy to change.
The electronic book below has saved as 'Software' in Zotero.

Simply click on the word 'Software' in the Item Type to the right of the screen in Zotero where the metadata is displayed and choose an alternative- Book. (There isn't a separate eBook item type in Zotero)

A useful tip when saving eBooks on Zotero – if you are using a chapter from an eBook, and the author is different from the overall editor of the eBook, you can add a Note to the Zotero metadata.
Zotero will only save the author of the entire eBook, not individual chapters.
Adding a Note to a Zotero record
The metadata for your items in Zotero is on the right hand side of the page. Click on the Notes tab.

Add whatever information you want in the note, by pressing the ‘Add’ button. Here we are adding the author of an individual chapter.

Your notes are now attached to the book record.
