Zotero

This guide shows how to use Zotero, a reference management tool.

Step 1. Open the library catalogue (OPAC)

To access the library catalogue, click on the ‘Find Books’ or ‘Library Catalogue’ button on the library homepage.

Step 2. Search for books on your topic

Library OPAC
Enter the title/author/subject into the Search bar at the top of the page. You can run the search across all the ATU libraries by selecting the little green magnifying glass, or you can select your campus, and then put your search terms in the search bar, which will just give you the results of the print books in your own campus.

Search + Find
Another way to find out what print books are in the ATU Library collection, is to use the Search + Find tool on the library homepage, and limit the results to 'Print Books Only' (ensure 'Full Text Online' is not selected)

Step 3. Open the record of the book

From the results, click into the title of the book you are interested in.

Step 4. Save into a Zotero folder

When you are in the record for the book, the icon beside the Zotero icon is a blue book, as opposed to a page, which would indicate the item is an article.

You will be asked what Zotero folder to want to save the item into. You can open up all your Zotero folders using the little dropdown arrow.
