Accessibility and the Library

ATU Accessibility banner

The library works with the Access Office to help support students with additional needs. Library staff aim to ensure that students with additional support requirements are able to make full use of the Library services and facilities.

The following services can be arranged:

  • One to one tours of the Library and finding services and resources through the library website.
  • Assistance with study/training room bookings.
  • Book retrieval service.
  • Accessible book formats.

If you need assistance with book location, retrieval, access to shelves, or moving books to other floors during your visit library staff are happy to assist, please ask at the information desk or contact us on Live Chat.

Users may request that materials be retrieved in advance of their visit. You can email us in advance of your visit. Alternatively, when on site students can ask at the information desk for an item to be retrieved or ask a member of staff to accompany them to the shelf to retrieve an item. A postal service will be provided to students (registered with the access office) who are unable to visit the library in person.

If you have any questions or comments about the Library and its services, or suggestions of ways in which they can be improved, contact email us.
