We provide a wide choice of study spaces to suit different learning and studying needs.
The library offers a variety of different study spaces to cater to different learning needs and preferences. You can choose to work quietly on your own at a study desk, individually at a PC, sit in a comfortable chair and read, or work with a group of students in one of our study rooms. Please note study spaces vary across our libraries.
Individual quiet study spaces are available in all our library locations where noise disruptions are minimized. Maintaining a quiet environment can foster a culture of respect for others’ study needs.
Group study rooms and/or Pods are available in most of our libraries and are bookable and useable during the library opening hours by students in groups of two or more who wish to work together and collaborate on projects and assignments.
Several of the group study rooms contain large screens. To connect your laptop/device to a screen, use the wireless connection option or ask for a HDMI cable at the information desk and follow the instructions on the screen.
It is also possible to borrow whiteboard markers to use on the whiteboards at the information desk.
The computer workstations in the library provide access to a Windows PC and the Internet for research and study purposes only. They operate on a first-come-first-served basis. Log on to the Library Computers using your ATU login credentials.
We provide training spaces for group sessions for student inductions and dedicated library training purposes.
